I got the Freedom Micro in White Beam which I believe is the brightest. It has a lot of functions such as; Pulsing/SOS Light is dimmable at ~ 10 brightness levels Very easy to operate with just 1 button Very compact and EDC-able so won't take up much space on your keychain This thing is so bright that people have to turn their eyes away even if I hold it facing up. AND it's waterproof I think. If I had this in Skyrim I wouldn't have to cast all those annoying Magelight spells. Nerd alert -_- Ordering directly from the manufacturer gives you more options (such as color) than found on other online stores, and guarantees an authentic product. Makes a great, useful gift for anyone that they can clip onto their keychain and forget it's there until they need it. I mostly use it in an urban environment to illuminate the back panel of the computer when plugging in hardware, searching for small dropped objects that roll under the bed or table, and illuminating small parts when taking apart and tinkering with watches, knives, pens, glasses, electrical equipment, and anything else that needs fixing.

As a flight nurse, when you go on a call at night, and we are using night vision goggles, there is no greater danger than using a "white light" in the cabin. I got a "green" photon light. It is perfect for seeing what you are doing while you are medically managing a complex patient, without compromising the safety of the mission. It clips on a zipper, and is readily available when you need it.

I wanted a small flashlight for my keychain. I looked online and in various forums. I saw small flash lights but they were bigger than my keys (and made over seas). So when I read about the Photon, I was like YES! Small,durable and made here. The light is rugged and super bright. Highly recommended.

I used the Photon II years ago and lost it from my keyring. My fault. I had since used other lights on my keyring but with cheap, you get what you pay for. I decided to kick in for the Freedom model. It's great. It comes with a clip and lanyard which really come in handy. It has multiple settings which are easy to switch between. Easily replaceable batteries are also a huge plus. It's not too big on my keyring in my pocket. Green being obsessively my favorite color, it's availability was a big selling factor. It's bright, really bright, works great when you need on hand lighting. Definitely recommend. It's the best out there.

It goes everywhere with me. We have a variety of flashlights but this tiny package is the go-to for clear, powerful light. My cell phone has a lovely light but nothing beats the simplicity of use like the Photon. I have given them to friends and they love them as much as I do.Great value and who can resist a lifetime warranty with great customer service.

I've been using my Photon Freedom for a while now, and it's one of my favorite lights, I own a Fenix 200 lumin torch, and also an Eagle Tac 300 lumin torch, and even though I have those the photon is still my number one torch. When you're stripped of your gear and are sleeping at night, the photon is always there, trips to the bathroom in total darkness during somthing like hurricane Katrina? No problem, because this thing has the ability to be on you even if your totally naked, attach it to a neck knife with some parachord and double side Velcro onto extra batterys in a tiny case and you have a mini survival kit, with this tool even totally naked I still have a reliable light and combat knife, and the variable brightness settings are awesome, while hunting you can keep your night vision and still are able to read a map or chart, while I love my oth lights this is the only one compact enough to become an extension of my own body in any situation, it is rough, I've gotten super glue on it, dropped it in a puddle, stepped on it with a set of danners by mistake and it's still alive, the light is hard to kill and a hard use item within reason. You'd be hard pressed to find a light as good as this for the price, especially given the fact that you can attach it to metal with the magnet based clip that comes with it, or use the clip to attach it to a shirt, use the necklace attachment, pairacord it to things, turn it into a bracelet, hook it on some dog tags, Ora even on the zippers of bags, the thing is the equivalent of having a light built into your body, and is pretty bright for its size, it's still on the first set of batteries and still waving the flag, the uses are endless. If you can't see you can't function, don't get caught in the dark without one.

i have the covert and it does concentrate the beam at high value where needed. Does not tend to interfere with peripheral vision .

I have bunch of AA . AAA as well CR123 lights from the US also some imports. Finally back to Minimalist! This light is bright enough to do the job! the runtime was not a big problem. you can alway have an another for back up.
